TRUPCR® MRSA Detection kit is an in vitro nucleic acid amplification test for the qualitative detection of Staphylococcus aureus specific DNA and its Methicillin-Resistant/Susceptible status from clinical samples using Real time PCR. The TRUPCR® MRSA Detection Kit is not intended to guide or monitor treatment for Methicillin-non-susceptible bacterial infections. A negative result from TRUPCR® MRSA Detection Kit does not prevent the presence of other resistance mechanisms. The results from the TRUPCR® MRSA Detection kit must be interpreted within the context of all relevant clinical and laboratory findings. An Endogenous Internal Control has been integrated into the kit in order to check PCR inhibition.
Key Features:
- The test allows highly sensitive qualitative detection of Staphylococcus aureus and its Methicillin-Resistant/Susceptible status
- PCR kit uses “hot-start” Taq-polymerase enzyme which greatly reduces the frequency of nonspecifically primed reactions.
- Sample Type – BAL, Sputum, Nasal Swabs samples of human origin & isolated bacterial colonies was used as a sample for this test.
- This test is validated on different real time machines (Applied Biosystems™ 7500, QuantStudio® 5, Rotor-Gene Q and Bio-Rad CFX96)
- Easy workflow with ready-to-use reagents.
- Simple reaction setup and data interpretation, no special personnel training required.
- This assay can be done with routine molecular lab set-up and most of the existing real-time PCR instruments.
- Internal Control integrated into the kit in order to check PCR inhibition
